Linkids

A simple and minimalist 2D puzzle platformer made for those that enjoy a slower paced experience. Easy to pick up and play but difficult to put down. It has a minimalist 1-bit visual style of a game you would find in a retro Atari 2600 game. Simple graphics that utilize a minimal color palette and minimal animations. And simple gameplay controls that could be played with a 2600 control scheme. It will feature a variety of enemies and obstacles that the player must overcome. 

Story

In the game you play as a Linkid that must escape from the clutches of the Redlins. Along the way you have the ability to kill the Redlins that you encounter. Linkids are small creatures that live out in the wild. They’re ecosystem lived in perfect harmony until the Redlins invaded causing a disturbance to that balance. Redlins, being a kingdom of invasive species, have hunted the Linkids nearly to extinction completely altering the look of the world.

"A"/"D" or Left/Right arrows - Move left/right

"S" or Down arrow - Crouch

"W" or Up arrow - Throw rock

ESC - Pause
